@TheFarmFan I refrained from saying anything until this was in the books. You're welcome! Nice game for Demetre and Bosgana. Actually looks like a really good 3X3 battle w/ those 2 + Agara against Latson, Gordon and Timpson. Heal chipped in off the bench though.

Friday would be totally dead if it wasn't for the Missouri Valley and Colonial. Another chance to see the Katie Dinnebier show on ESPN+.

Thank you kindly, sir. I'm ready for your preemptive post condemning Stanford to no more wins, no post season run, and no landing any top 5 recruits...

Two more undefeated teams go down tonight as well. Gotta love how conference play shakes outs.
Help me out here, those two were Georgia Tech and who?

Life in the ACC is nicer on the Left Coast for the California schools it would appear.
Cal plays a fun brand of offensive ball. I came away impressed with them. Disappointed in the Pack, the 2nd quarter was the deciding one where Cal outscored State 25-13 and shot 55% compared to State's 30% that quarter. That was also the quarter State went to their bench, the only time they did.

Rivers played 40 minutes. James and Hayes 38 minutes. Zoe and Trygger 34. That's ALOT to ask for a starting 5. Wes has got to trust his bench more and the bench needs to also respond, there can't be that sort of fall off in production. Obviously with Zam still out nursing a hand injury and Weimar lost for the season, that puts you in a bind. But gotta find a way. I thought Quigley and Collier probably should have both got more minutes last night. State had Zoe and James both cramping up and limping around for the final 4ish minutes of the game.

Tilda Trygger did flash a glimpse of hope for State going forward this season as well as for the future. She had 19 points and 10 boards, knocked down 4 three pointers as a 6'6 center! She can certainly be a difference maker on the offensive side as she gets more comfortable with the physicality and speed of the game at this level. She doesn't solve the lack of a physical presence on the interior for State though. That's where Awou could be a factor, however she's a liability on offense, travels at least once a game in limited minutes and turns it over way too much. She's super raw. But State is in need of some muscle on the inside in a bad way. Defense wasn't good enough last night. Really need Zam back ASAP.

I have to stop watching these Duke-UNC games in Chapel Hell because they're always a mess. I blame Courtney Banghart and her vomit-inducing brand of basketball.
I’m curious what you mean by vomit inducing? I haven’t seen much of UNC.

Oh my word - who knew? (Yeah, lots of you, I'm sure).

There are 11 teams that haven't won a game against DI competition yet this year. And I thought Chicago State was a story. Arizona played one of them, Cal State Bakersfield. They also played Chicago State.

Good win for Creighton on the road against seton hall. They are in control of the race for second place in the big east.

Something to monitor today with Maryland. The loss of the rebounding prowess of Poffenbarger sucks when the team need to control Williams as much as possible.

No ice Brady for UConn today. We may be a bit shorthanded in the interior.

How many schools are in SoCal? I know Pepperdine and LMU have been postponing games this week. Looking at Sunday's schedule, USC is still showing as hosting a game but UCLA has postponed their game against Northwestern. That could be crazy having the #1 ranked team unable to play home games for the foreseeable future. Obviously there are more important things than basketball at a time like this.

I think Gonzaga led pretty much the whole way. Washington St. made some runs but GU always held them off. Turner and Ejim led the way.

It looks like Northwestern asked to postpone the games, not UCLA. The USC game against Northwestern next Wednesday is postponed as well.

UCLA is holding classes remote next week. Penn State traveled, and their UCLA game on Wednesday is still on, for now.

Oklahoma St. gets a nice win at home over West Virginia. A little hiccup against Kansas, but they are 4-1 in the Big 12. WVU fell to 3-2.

Thanks, interesting that Northwestern made the decision.

I don't know my LA geography well enough to be aware of exactly where the fires are and how close that is to various schools.

Kneepkens on triple double watch for Utah today.

edit--didn't quite get there, 15/8/7

Utah cruised to an easy win over Houston

Peyton McFarland did not have a nice reunion with her former Utes' teammates. 2 pts and 3 reb.
