why are these "obvious"? not mad I'm just curious as to why you think these are obvious. I also thought about UNC +11 at SCAR on Thursday but I haven't placed anything yet
I don't like looking gift horses in the mouth, but something is wrong with the Boise spread. It seems like we are missing something, because it is too obvious. Boise +3
I like Cincinnati -11. Purdue sucks.
BYU -1 is a good bet too. Good team this year.
ULL + 10.5
Nevada +20.5 - I think Ault is one of the most innovative coaches of the last 20 years, but his play calling was getting a little stale by last season. This may be one of those situations where a team steps up after replacing a legend.
Kentucky -5
Plus Washington it tough at home.Washington is returning 18 starters from a team who was ranked at times last year and is at home. Bosie is bring back 9. If anything the number is short. I think you are simply looking at the team names when saying that about the spread.
Plus Washington it tough at home.
So UConn +17...what do you think? I have a good feeling about this game. UConn has a sense of desperation and Weist has brought some excitement in to the offense. I think they cover.
Won't take the Rainbow Warriors tonight, but there is a lot of money to be made early this year betting against Lane Kiffin. People see the talent, and they keep betting USC despite its coach. The mullets will keep the spreads up, and Kiffin will deliver another 3-10 campaign ATS.
Hawaii and SMU so far. Not feeling good about Gilbert. Chickened out on Rutgers and didn't take the points.
Sir u are going to get eaten alive. You are taking what i call the obvious picks but we will see how u do.
When you see Wisconsin -44.5 with a 53 over...
UMass has problems on defense but their offense is clearly going to improve. They will score enough to push it over.
Congrats. My shoe don't taste so goodWent undefeated for the weekend. Not a bad start to the season.
UCF -21.5 against akron is a gimme IMO. Also like temple +30 and took Rutgers +11. I like Wyoming +28 at Nebraska and the over in that game.
Northwestern is a really good team and I have them -5 at Cal. The late kickoff might mess with them a little but they're a good team and I like them to cover that.
I'm going to take Louisville -21 as the AAC looks so bad that they know they need style points. Nothing like a change of heart 45 minutes prior.
Best of luck. With Bridgewater back, and no major losses from last season's roster (that I can recall anyway), I think it is a good play (though, I haven't dived into analysis for lines this season yet, so I don't have a good feel). The expectations are high for UL this season, and a coach like Charlie Strong motivates players to excel in these spots. Think the number is a little high because Ohio isn't a complete dreck (9-4 last season with a win at Penn State, still impressive even with the turmoil in Happy Valley), and the first game of the season can be a crap shoot. Think Louisville covers, but I'd guess it's close.

I only bet it because it's the only game on.![]()
