I don't like looking gift horses in the mouth, but something is wrong with the Boise spread. It seems like we are missing something, because it is too obvious. Boise +3

I like Cincinnati -11. Purdue sucks.

BYU -1 is a good bet too. Good team this year.

ULL + 10.5

Nevada +20.5 - I think Ault is one of the most innovative coaches of the last 20 years, but his play calling was getting a little stale by last season. This may be one of those situations where a team steps up after replacing a legend.

Kentucky -5

I think the deal with Boise is revenge + night game + moving back into renovated stadium. Boise is still good but thinner than in past. Can't bet against Boise but that is a tough spot.

At the offshores who added it UConn is -17.

why are these "obvious"? not mad I'm just curious as to why you think these are obvious. I also thought about UNC +11 at SCAR on Thursday but I haven't placed anything yet

I was thinking SC over NC by a lot. They won't let up. I might think twice if it goes over 14 though.

Washington is returning 18 starters from a team who was ranked at times last year and is at home. Bosie is bring back 9. If anything the number is short. I think you are simply looking at the team names when saying that about the spread.

Plus Washington it tough at home.

So UConn +17...what do you think? I have a good feeling about this game. UConn has a sense of desperation and Weist has brought some excitement in to the offense. I think they cover.

Assuming you mean UConn -17

I do not have a feeling on the game but UConn should be embarrassed and pissed they are less than a 20 point fav over an FCS school

I think I'm just taking UNC +13.5 and USU +2.5 tonight. Might add Mississippi if that comes down to 3.

Good luck fellow degenerates.

Won't take the Rainbow Warriors tonight, but there is a lot of money to be made early this year betting against Lane Kiffin. People see the talent, and they keep betting USC despite its coach. The mullets will keep the spreads up, and Kiffin will deliver another 3-10 campaign ATS.

Hawaii got that backdoor cover and I managed to squeeze a 2-2 out of the night because they offered Towson at 17 and I took Mississippi at 3.5.

This Friday card is boring but I took the SMU over at 62. Bad number and first drive dissolved. So good job by me.

Hawaii and SMU so far. Not feeling good about Gilbert. Chickened out on Rutgers and didn't take the points.

SMU got a bad whistle. I needed miracle on the over, but in reality game should have been at 80+.

My bookie had so much Texas Tech action he asked if I'd take SMU.

When you see Wisconsin -44.5 with a 53 over...

UMass has problems on defense but their offense is clearly going to improve. They will score enough to push it over.

Sir u are going to get eaten alive. You are taking what i call the obvious picks but we will see how u do.

Went undefeated for the weekend. Not a bad start to the season.

WTF? I saw 17-0 halftime and thought I was sitting pretty ...

Drew was def the man. I squeezed out a 8-7 yesterday and 11-9 for the weekend to date.

How about that Boise game. The AAC had a miserable week, not much better for MWC.

Anyone else kind of like Ohio +21 today?

UCF -21.5 against akron is a gimme IMO. Also like temple +30 and took Rutgers +11. I like Wyoming +28 at Nebraska and the over in that game.

Northwestern is a really good team and I have them -5 at Cal. The late kickoff might mess with them a little but they're a good team and I like them to cover that.

Nice work!!!!

Northwestern got two tipped passed for pick 6's. I don't feel quite so bad thinking that was a dangerous spot.

Had a pretty good Saturday for the first week. Ended up 7-3 on the day.

Def got lucky with the NW cover, but I'll certainly take it. Maryland was too easy, FIU has their version of Coach P with Ron Turner. They are a team to fade all season.

I like Ohio today as well.

I'm going to take Louisville -21 as the AAC looks so bad that they know they need style points. Nothing like a change of heart 45 minutes prior.

Best of luck. With Bridgewater back, and no major losses from last season's roster (that I can recall anyway), I think it is a good play (though, I haven't dived into analysis for lines this season yet, so I don't have a good feel). The expectations are high for UL this season, and a coach like Charlie Strong motivates players to excel in these spots. Think the number is a little high because Ohio isn't a complete dreck (9-4 last season with a win at Penn State, still impressive even with the turmoil in Happy Valley), and the first game of the season can be a crap shoot. Think Louisville covers, but I'd guess it's close.

I only bet it because it's the only game on. :)

It's a pretty safe assumption that every spread is going to be close - those lines were pretty tight for week 1.

The week 2 opening lines are interesting.

Georgia -5 over South Carolina. Texas -3.5 over BYU. Florida -3 over Miami. Michigan and Notre Dame... Pick. If you are hung up on names Auburn -4 Arky State.

Evidence Vegas doesn't overreact. Nebraska is -30 over Southern Miss.

Two teams we discuss a lot. Northwestern laying 9.5 to Cuse and Cinci laying 16 to Illinois.

Some pretty strong opinions from the Wynn there.

Usf catching 22.5 I like at first blush. Same with Duke laying 5.5 at Memphis.

I don't like getting on the wrong side of the movement but I did take FSU -12. Smells like a 20 point blowout.
