Wednesday. 1st Round of Big East Tournament

Xavier falls apart but I agree St. Johns has been playing well. They need a win or 2 to get in and there's a path for that to happen with Nova's injuries.

That was sad from a Xavier POV.

Just try to stay in front of your man and contest his shot and don't reach with 3 seconds left. But those players are in the heat of the moment with thousands watching. I don't know

Seton Hall maybe can get in with a win. St. John's needs to beat Villanova.
I was kind of thinking the opposite, Hall would be 14-13. I know this year is trash, but I can't remember anyone getting in one game over .500. Thing is, we have no idea what the committee is going to do.

.-.
I don't know. He recruits well and this team has talent but they have no identity.
Crazy part of it is, of all things, I would have thought the guy that was one of the hardest working players on the court, would field a team the opposite. He seems trapped between the Duke recruiting persona and the gym rat he was and the recruiter won. His teams never play the way he played. Maybe he was a better player than communicator/coach?

Kinda sad because I hated Wojo when he played, but his teams don’t play that way.

Loved that Kemba step back flashback they just showed. Never gets old. You can tell Marshall loves the praise for his former team.

Thursday was always my favorite day. Lots of good games starting early. Morning beers. Interacting with other fans. Then getting Friday and Saturday tickets on the cheap from the losers headed out of town. Feels so good watching the BET again.

Providence should of beat Nova easier. My prediction is they are sliding and lose against DePaul.

.-.
DePaul looks so good on some plays but man they have so much trouble protecting the ball.

Watching these games so far, and outside of UConn, Nova, and Creighton the Big East is meh. Georgetown and SJU are on the up and up but sheesh these teams are unimpressive

Still can't figure out how to watch FS1 streaming. I never had this problem before. My only options are the Above the Rim cams.

Beats watching the AAC Tournament. 😀

I think most would agree it's a down year for the Big East. But with all the highly ranked 2021 recruiting classes in the conference I think things will be looking up the next few years.

defuq with Xavier. 19 2nd half points. ouch. upset city baby. come on depauline.

You can say that for pretty much everyone outside of the Big Ten and high level mid majors this year.

I'm sure they'll revert back to their usual, but DePaul looking a lot more impressive than Providence right now.

If I were a basketball coach DePaul seems like a good gig. Chicago is a great city. Lots of good food and entertainment. The lake is cool. Also, low expectations doesn't sound like the worst thing.

Not sure what a DePaul coach makes, but I suspect a fortune compared to a normal job. Hang around for like 10-15 years. Bank a bunch of $$. Walk away from all the nonsense and travel the world.

Of course, my casual attitude about the job is probably one of the many reasons I'm not qualified.

This isn’t surprising. I told everyone DePaul could very easily beat providence. DePaul and Providence aren’t that far apart

Coach Dave also is bringing in quite a good recruiting class. I dont even think they're bad it's just that everyone in the conference is just better than them. If they were in some mid major conference they would do way better in terms of wins
