While #15 is solidly in the 1st round, it is an 8 seed in the playoffs.

Indiana state guidelines and protocols for public health should not be your measuring stick during normal times, let alone a Global pandemic.

We drove through sh^thole parts of IN driving from O'hare to the UConn/ND football game in the dark of night. Most bizarre experience I've ever had. Stopped for gas at one point and I went inside to buy a tin of Kodiak. Once I got past the three aisles of pork rinds and empty dime bag sized ziplock baggies sold in bulk, the cashier asked me if we needed any "wakey wakey" for the weekend.

I agree that Bouk's stock will not increase if he does not return this year. Dare I say, he needs one more season of normal basketball. It's not a bad thing necessarily. Kemba regressed in 2010 (plateaued at best, IMO). Similarly though, if Bouk decides to return, UConn is a '22 National Title contender.

Darius Garland played 5 games in college and went #5 overall. Bouknight's sample of play is more than enough to go top 10.

Thanks for your ironical jab at anti-maskers. Two of the refs were not wearing masks. They could have used an excellent preventative measure and increased our chance of playing this weekend.

Indiana is 14th with 1,474 deaths for every million.

So don't hate on the Hoosier state. The truth is that nobody knows the science. Connecticut is very cautious about some things, less cautious about others. I'm just frustrated like everyone else.

I think Covid gives an athlete viable cover for not playing and minimizes risk....both from the virus and injury...If you are already a top 10 pick...what do you have to gain by playing?

I'm not saying Bouk will hurt his draft stock, I'm just thinking it's possible. He's been ranked in the high single digits (8/9 maybe?). He can't go any higher than #1, but he can go a lot lower. What if he comes back, is rusty, playing a little tentative after the injury?

I hope he comes back, but if I was his advisor, I would tell him he really needs to consider the +/- of playing/not playing.

This feels to me like the sad reality. And it's not contradicted by the trajectory of Dan Hurley's comments over the last few weeks. But it's entirely possible that what's going on behind the scenes is nothing like this. Obviously, I'm pulling for the latter.

Is that your scientific answer? The virus didn't "hit" Indiana.

The reason that Connecticut's death toll is so high per capita is that the governor sent Covid positive patients back into nursing homes. That's not speculation. Almost every state that did that has higher death rates.
