He thinks he's a 3 and UConn knows he not

He had to go below AAC level teams to even find someone who would tell him that
He is a 3 offensively but could not compete defensively at the 3 in the AAC. Maybe he'll do better in NM.

This makes perfect sense from the standpoint that he said he wants to be the focal point of a team.

This makes zero sense from the standpoint of him wanting to be in the 2019 NBA draft. I don't think any amount of numbers he puts up that first year at UNM gets him drafted

25+ PPG, 8+ RPG, and 6+ APG shooting 50% from field and 38%+ from 3 PT. I think that would do it!

Seriously, these guys bailing on the team only helps add fuel for those who remain. And the players that remain are a LOT better than the ones that left.

I hope the guys we have left are excited to compete for the available playing time.

Vance and Vital took advantage of their opportunity last year, and improved. We need our young big men and wings to do the same.

Not sure how to process this. The only way this hurts, and to a larger extent with Enoch, is that they were replaced with, well, nobody. On good UConn teams, VJ is a role player, Enoch isnt even that. Durham is a wild card. He showed the least of the three last year but has the most upside. Again, these departures don't bother me half as much as what the staff has done, or haven't done, since.

Will almost certainly go down as the UConn player with the worst win percentage in 35 years, along with Durham. Sort of fitting if you ask me.

From a quick look I think he has the lowest winning percentage since Phil Gamble and Cliff Robinson from 1985-1989

Any thoughts here on Storrs, CT not being an attractive place for the new wave of kids? Kids want a unique experience more than ever. Lets face it - UConn just isn't that fun of a school. The internet age has given young kids a platform and the ability to brand themselves. Selling kids on the past just doesn't cut it anymore.
What are your thoughts? How do you propose to make the experience more unique? How do you make UConn more fun of a school? Let's give the internet a birth year of 1990 for being universally available. UConn has won 18 team national championships since then. So any of the new wave kid who wants to brand themselves a national champion can do a whole worse than attending the un-fun, un-unique school in Storrs, CT.

Don't think I saw this mentioned but Vance benefited greatly from Larrier getting injured as well as Gilbert. If both those guys played this past season Vance wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the same amount of playing time. I'm sure those two coming back especially Larrier played a major role in his decision to transfer. Larrier is clearly the better player and they play the same position.

He'll get no time this year. Very strange.
