… and their head ball coach is headed to Auburn:
A thread started because people were all goo goo Gaga that USF beat a Florida team that won 4 games this year.
The truth about USF:
Unfortunately that’s the reality of a G5 league. One good season and poooofSouth Florida, Memphis, and Tulane just lost their coaches to Auburn, Arkansas, and Florida.
Name an AAC coach who didn’t get paid millions to join the big boys in the P leagues. Take the money and run!!!Name an AAC coach that has gone on to be really successful in a P conference. Heupel might be it and he’s got 1 playoff shellacking to show for it.
And, North Texas to OK State. 4 departing AAC coaches.South Florida, Memphis, and Tulane just lost their coaches to Auburn, Arkansas, and Florida.
Pabst cases were bar bottlesYou didn't have the full college experience from back in our days If you hadn't at least once purchased (and drank) a case of Red, White & Blue beer (Pabst B label beer) for $5.50 plus tax & deposit (the going rate in 1981-1982).
On a (then) college student's budget, it was one of the very few affordable beers, and the only beer I've ever had that tasted better warm than it did cold.
I was talking about Red White & Blue, which was brewed by Pabst but was a lesser quality than Pasbst (to give you an idea of how bad it was). The distributor back then (nearly 45 years ago) only carried cans. It was cheap and it was beer, those were the only redeeming qualities.Pabst cases were bar bottles
May I have this dance?
Me too... The only one in town who would sell to underage... They were already nasty but then we drank them warm!
I remember getting a case of Schaefer bar bottles for $1.61 plus tax and deposit in the mid 1980s.Back in the day, we bought Schaefer Beer. It was cheap and we could get it in quart bottles to drink in the dorm rooms while we were "studying".
Are you sure that wasn't the price of a six pack?I remember getting a case of Schaefer bar bottles for $1.61 plus tax and deposit in the mid 1980s.

That's impressive. The least expensive I remember getting a case for is between five and six dollars.I remember getting a case of Schaefer bar bottles for $1.61 plus tax and deposit in the mid 1980s.
I still think that was the six pack price and he mistakenly said case. Schaefer was a local beer when I was a kid and it was a preferred beer of a great uncle. It was miles ahead of RWB in terms of quality and i would have gladly paid $1 or so more a case back then for that instead of RWB.That's impressive. RWBs were rough even as a broke 20 year-old.I still think that was the six pack price and he mistakenly said case. Yes they were.RWBs were rough even as a broke 20 year-old.
They were covered in dust. Might have been thete for a while 😳That's impressive. The least expensive I remember getting a case for is between five and six dollars.

When they finish their On Campus Stadium they get the invite. If expansion ever gets rolling again….they’re gonna be an issue for us.
Conference mates with us in a rebuilt ACC?When they finish their On Campus Stadium they get the invite.
I think we’re both getting an invite in 2030. To where and what causes it is to TBD. I don’t think the B12 will be grabbing USF unless UCF steps back up. The B12 expansion with UCF, Cincy and Houston has been a big disappointment. When they finish their On Campus Stadium they get the invite.
