USAB U17 team has begun preparations for World Cup

Horston with a heck of a pass in the post on the breakaway but Belibi missed the layup.

Her passing ability is on full display in this game. She is so unselfish.

Cooke, on the other hand, will not lead this team in assists. She can score, though.

I Really like Boston. She is a POST PLAYA!!!!

She's actually further along than I thought. I've been reluctant to compare her to Tina but she may not be that far off from where Tina was as a high school player.

Nope! But she certainly changed the game when she came in the 1st quarter. Her and Taylor amped up the defensive intensity. I cant count how many times I have seen Celeste Taylor on the floor grabbing at loose balls.

Haley Jones with a nice post up and finish with a high post pass from Cameron Brink.

USA leads at the half 51-23

Actually 2 impressive post-ups by Haley. She's strong and her long arms allow her to play bigger.

I understand what that coach (presumably Geno) meant when saying there's really no player like her in the country. She's unique.

I think she's certainly not in UConn shape........sucking a bit of wind in the first quarter...........continues to miss some sitters too just like last summer...........Geno's going to have a field day with her if she picks UConn

that's Taylor's game........ real hustle player and great on the fast break.........she played well internationally last time too

She misses bunnies but so did Tina when she first arrived at UConn. Geno once described Tina's shots as throwing logs on a fire. Tina developed her superb post-moves while at UConn too.

The live stats page not working today.

BTW, I believe the games tomorrow will be on latvia TV as well. US plays Canada at 10 am EDT.

The streaming quality is superb, btw.

Beautiful feed from Bueckers to Boston on the break. Kept her head up.
Nice put back from Sam on the missed FT.

2nd unit in and it appears to be Osborne, Cooke, Taylor, Brunelle, and Belibi

offensively Cooke reminds me of Kelsey Mitchell in that she just puts her head down and drives to the basket. Doesn't really look to pass. Defensively---she is a pest.

USA leads after the 3rd. 80-32 on a nifty pass from Bueckers to Jones.

I was just thinking that there will be some great next level superstars on the floor today

I think Carla has it exactly right with the starting 5 and the rotation off the bench.

Some interesting notes on stats.

USA for the 2nd straight game is very well balanced offensively.

Osborne again led them in scoring off the bench with 15 and 3 others with 10 including Bueckers, Jones, Taylor.

Horston with 10 rebounds and Taylor with 6 steals.

Bueckers with 6 assists and 0 TO.

Belibi better work on her foul shooting.....

Belibi is an interesting prospect to me. She often looks lost out there. I am not the coach nor was at the trials but im intrigued that she made the final roster and Rickea Jackson didnt.

I seem to remember Geno saying that half of Tina's rebounds were off her own misses.
