Here are the teams playing this weekend:
USA Basketball Women's 3x3 U18 National Championship

I am guessing that the Boston/Brunelle/Bueckers/Van Lith team is the favorites to win and qualify for the Youth Olympics in June.

The jury is still out on whether 3x3 is good for 5x5 development purposes, but it is cool for players to either play for a national championship with some local friends and for players to team up with those outside of their area.

Obviously Boston should play for the United States for development and exposure reasons, but if she never turns out to be a full national team level player, it would be cool to see her play for USVI. They generally are at least somewhat competitive at the Americas level.

Katie Lou played 3 x 3 and she said it was a blast. It is also alot of fun to watch.

Would think that due to the nature of 3x3, if the players end up at a college that plays a true motion offense (like UConn), it could have a huge benefit. Probably one of the reasons you rarely see some of the slower but highly ranked bigs take a pass.

Early morning games are over.

The Super teams both won: Bueckers/Brunelle/Van Lith/Boston in a rout, Fudd/Watson/Burke/Parrish in a nail biter.

Also, Leilani Correra's team won 21-1.

Watson/Fudd win their second game 21-13.

Here's Hailey Van Lith posting up! off a feed from Aliyah Boston:

I like Hailey’s use of the left hand. Her legs remind me of what Gabby’s legs do on a quick drive.

I'll take those eight recruits please................have them delivered to Storrs CT upon graduation.................

Thanks for the heads up. :)

The Fuddettes reach the semis although they fail to get the automatic victory point total of 21.

The Denver team also makes the semis and stays undefeated. I'm not familiar with any of their players.
