USA U18 3x3 Championships

Brunelle/Bueckers roll to the finals with 21-8 and 21-9 wins.

They meet team Fudd after they win their semi 20-15.

Now Fudd takes Van Lith inside and scores.

Great passes from Bueckers and Van Lith for two Brunelle layups.
 
Two threes for Brunelle and another for Burke.

Van Lith with the block of Burke. Fudd hits pullup.

Bueckers nails a three.

Boston with a great move down low to score on Watson and then blocks Watson's shot.
 
Burke blows by Brunelle for a layup. Bueckers hits a floater. Fudd hits a pullup.
 
Another great block by Boston on Watson 1-on-1.

Burke nails a tough three at the shot clock buzzer.

Fudd gets her shot blocked by Boston out by the three point line! Then gets blocked by Bueckers inside!

Fudd then makes a brutally tough shot falling down

Van Lith nails another jumper.

Super tight game.
 
Wow.

Van Lith hits another tough drive on Fudd. Then after Fudd misses a tough shot Boston makes a great move inside to score the winning basket against Watson.

Team Quest is the winner. They go undefeated.

LOL, something seems a bit...aspirational about Fudd's billed height. The official USAB heights of these four are 6'0", 6'2", 6'3", and 5'11".
 
Most impressive players, imo, were Van Lith and Boston, followed by Fudd, Bueckers, and Brunelle. Burke's stroke is beautiful.
 
Boston was the best player in my opinion when you combine offense and defense. Brunelle, second Fudd has mad skills but was forcing alot, probably out of necessity.

Van Lith defends, passes, handles, can drive and hit tough shots, great from midrange, tough and feisty.

Boston is so calm out there but brilliant defensively, rebounds, and has offensive skills plus lots of size and strength.

Bueckers is Bueckers. A stud.

Watson's gonna be a very good player.

Burke would be a great addition for anyone who needs a shooter.

Brunelle's a very good player too, but I'd have her fifth among players in this game which speaks to those other players' abilities more than anything.

And Fudd of course is special.

I have not seen much of Van Lith prior to this 3x3, but she is impressive, very
quick. Boston is Uconn material along with Bueckers.
 
Watson playing out of position she's not a post player.......I guess Van Lith may come from the country but she plays like a big city baller............the rest we knew about already..........sign em up!!!!

From what I've seen Watson plays mainly post in high school. I know that's mostly against smaller players but I don't what you'd call her if not a post. A versatile, high-post type player with an inside game.

she's playing post due to the size mismatch in high school but in terms of skills she's a four...............if I'm not mistaken she and Boston played together in international play last summer............at this point there's no way she can handle a powerful inside presence on the block
 
3 x 3 may be great fun to play and watch, but me I have a hard time evaluating player abilities given the format/clock/whole darn thing. On the ground might be a whole different thing, but on TV that's hard for me.
