Yeah.....undefeated.Just need to win the last 6
And by the way, UCONN is undefeated in 6 of it's 11. So it's more likely to get a NC with an undefeated season.
Yeah.....undefeated.Just need to win the last 6
Michigan's losses to UConn and Vandy were BY THE IDENTICAL SCORE (72-69).Talking of coincidences, UConn and Vanderbilt both beat Michigan by 3 this year.
SCar beat Vandy by 29 points, the same margin that UConn beat SCar last year in the regular season.
Not implying anything, just noting that History often rhymes!
To be more specific. You just need to win the last game of the season…….Just need to win the last 6
What am I missing? We have 12.Yeah.....undefeated.

Not true,BUT, if you go the season undefeated, you'll win a NC. So yeah, if can be pretty important.
Well, you have to win the last 6 in a row.To be more specific. You just need to win the last game of the season…….
Full season, including March and AprilNot true,
2027 UConn
2018 UConn
2023 SCar
Probably some others
I know, right? The regular season is so overrated! See you in March! You can win a title without being undefeated not the most important thung to the season
I try to keep things simple. If you just win the last game of the season you are the NCAA champions. The only exception is if you win the WNIT.Well, you have to win the last 6 in a row.
Unless it's 2020....To be more specific. You just need to win the last game of the season…….
I knew someone on the BY would come up with an obscure exception……. 😉Unless it's 2020....
Vandy had to travel to SC in bad weather and defeating SC at home, especially after a loss is at best difficult. That said, the game highlighted some of their deficiencies and how to play against them (aggressive defense, use of height, limit Blakes). Still see them top 15 by tournament time.Just some thoughts on the Vandy SC game. I think Vandy was caught off guard and with all the TOs from the start they were a little unsure of themselves. That help SC gain confidence and rSC rode that confidence throughout the game. SC played great and without fear. SC used their height and quickness to overrun Vandy. Vandy isnt that bad. Vandy will learn from this. We will see how Vandy reacts against the ranked teams coming up on their schedule. Vandy needs to play better D. They just stood around and let SC run right by them thus helping SC great shooting percentages. The one thing that sticks out to me is Vandy still scored over 70 pts. Something to work on in practice is less TO's and better defense.
Or if your record isn't good enough for the postseason, but you win your last game.I try to keep things simple. If you just win the last game of the season you are the NCAA champions. The only exception is if you win the WNIT.

Nope. Every eligible D1 team plays in a conference tournament at the end of the season. So even if you have a losing record, if you win your last game, by definition, you win your conference tournament and the AQ then gets you into the Big Dance and so on.Or if your record isn't good enough for the postseason, but you win your last game.
You're right. Fog of snow brain. So...for my last post..What am I missing? We have 12.
Noooo, if you go undefeated for the season, you win a NC. True. (except that Covid year as already noted)Not true,
2027 UConn
2018 UConn
2023 SCar
Probably some others
Don't you mean 6 of it's 12 National Championships? How quickly we forget😉😉😉Yeah.....undefeated.

See post #194.Don't you 6 of it's 12 National Championships? How quickly we forget😉😉😉
splitting hairs here, there is the season and the post season 😇Noooo, if you go undefeated for the season, you win a NC. True. (except that Covid year as already noted)
Kinda hard to see a post while you are posting, it only came up after I posted the reply.See post #194.
Actually, since the ACC expanded to 18 teams, I think only the top 15 make the tournament. At least that was true last year.Nope. Every eligible D1 team plays in a conference tournament at the end of the season. So even if you have a losing record, if you win your last game, by definition, you win your conference tournament and the AQ then gets you into the Big Dance and so on.
Again, the only exception to the win your last game = NCAA championship is if you win the WNIT championship.
