I am fine without it. The current situation emphasizes speed and skill rather than size which is less important than in the men's game. I am going to say something that is quite retro, but I like women hockey players the size they are now. My apologies to those that find my views on this subject unevolved. In the absence of body checking, the women’s game will continue to be “just” the women’s game. A former UConn women’s captain told me she did not want body checking because “then you would have to keep your head up while skating.”
I love the UConn women, but………….
