Technically that is incorrect. But the refs do let a certain amount go.I wish they could hit more I know they can hit if they are playing the puck but they just should let them finish their checks!
I think opposing teams have likely been keying on them.Zero points between Murdoch, Pellerin, and Allard is a bit of a surprise 4 games into the season. They will have to get it going to alleviate some pressure off of Chan. OTH, the seniors have really picked up the slack.
In the absence of body checking, the women’s game will continue to be “just” the women’s game. A former UConn women’s captain told me she did not want body checking because “then you would have to keep your head up while skating.”Technically that is incorrect. I am fine without it. The current situation emphasizes speed and skill rather than size which is less important than in the men's game. I am going to say something that is quite retro, but I like women hockey players the size they are now. My apologies to those that find my views on this subject unevolved. In the absence of body checking, the women’s game will continue to be “just” the women’s game. I love the UConn women, but………….

But I'd like to see body checking. I go to lots of the women's games, on the road as well as home. I'm a fan.But what?

Pretty sure it’s cheaper than MBB/WBB/MHOC and same price as Soccer/Volleyball.If you buy in advance, $8 tickets, $5 for seniors/youths for the women’s game. BUT $10 to park? How to alienate your fan base!
