Probably part of the contractual agreement to play the games. It doesn't count, of course, but both coaches probably wanted the practice for their teams.Confused. Why are they doing a shootout if it ends in a tie? Shoutouts are done on conference games to determine points. Why are they done in non conference games if it’s not to determine the W-L? What do we get for winning the shootout if the game ends in a tie?
