He was electric, the way he was able to change speeds and direction in the open field was amazing. It was a shame that he blew out his knee at Va Tech. While he had some nice games after he returned, he never was the same. No longer had the extra acceleration that was the difference between a good back and a game changer.

Cannot like this enough! I appreciate the UConn faithful! I understand the reasons people wouldn't come to games previously. I do! If your coach is a washed-up retread and still bald tire... Its hard to get on that bus. But our coach is not filling us with ridiculous accolades, or with a brow beat, or hey this isn't my dream job! This guy - he has talent to teach this team. He has talent on many levels and the confidence I hear in his vice.... is moving! If I was to write a movie of how our comeback was to start... it would be with a guy like Mora! he is pretty modest and imagine this - Come on fans give me a chance! Well, when he recruits he is asking for talented kids to give him the same. How do we do any less as a fan? I'm More in on Mora every week.... He is our guy. Im pumped for tomorrow! 2002 - I remember that game in Storrs - I remember shouting next to the fence and the Temple players looking over their shulder and pointing at the scoreboard. It was the Big East team leaving as we were joining. They have reasons to dislike UConn. WE simply must get the "W" and I'm hoping with a double digit smashing. See you tomorrow!

Congrats on the win in advance. As a Temple fan, reading this thread it's pretty much spot on. Temple hit on two great hires (Golden and Rhule), a decent one (Geoff Collins) and completely whiffed on Rod Carey (who had no understanding of the Philadelphia culture) and Stan Drayton, who reached the Peter Principle (his ultimate level of competence was RB coach). Temple can't run the football, can't stop the run and can't protect the quarterback and that's a losing trifecta.
Temple does have good players in RB Antwain Littleton and its three wide receivers: Dante Wright, Antonio Jones and Zae Baines are very good.
It has a really good DT in FAU transfer Latrell Jean and good pass rushers in Florida transfer Diwan Black and Tre Thomas.
Probably enough to produce a better showing than Buffalo but I see this as a 37-10 UConn win.
Jim Mora was a much better hire than Drayton. Hiring an assistant coach is always a crapshoot.

Mora is a helluva coach. I was a big fan of his dad's when he was here with the Philadelphia Stars and Jim Jr. spent at least four years of his young life growing up in Philadelphia.

Obviously what counts is tomorrow and it's not over till the clock is 0:00, but it is appreciated for opposing fans to understand our perspective and what the hope of this season so far, means to us after we rallied behind some of the most pathetic displays of football in the history of the NCAA.

Good luck this season, owl nation. But not tomorrow.
