#3 Texas just defeated #5 LSU by 7 points.
How will this affect #7 UCONN's rankings & potential seeding?

That might have been the best game I have seen a UConn team play in years.

I admit, I had SC by double-digits and was off by >40 points on the MOV.

IMO, the difference was the attitude. They did not come out tentative, they took it to SC.

Outrebounding 48-29 is remarkable.

Besides Azzi's 2nd half scoring, Jana's performance and Ash's energy stood out.

This shows that this team has the potential to beat anyone - If only we could bottle this performance

I taped game and just saw the score and am stunned
I am ashamed for being such a coward
The girls deserved better
I did the same thing. I tried my best not to look at the ESPN App for any score info. Unfortunately I was using the ESPN App to watch softball and as I was switching between games to watch, they showed the halftime score under the link to watch the game . I was shocked but continued to watch softball. At 2:55PM, I looked at the app and immediately went to my Hulu recording!!!!!

I didn't watch the game because I am a coward (no offense intended @Ron and Vida) but I discovered when watching the ND, USC and TN games, that my blood glucose skyrocketed and it took hours to correct. I decided to do something different today.
It was a great win. I really, really enjoyed this replay.

There was lots to love about this game. My favorite was the game that Jana played. This may be one of those games that gives her the confidence to just act and not think too much. We may well have seen the beginning of a great career for her, as well as the key to our going a long way this year. Way to go, Jana!
I'm also glad that Geno acknowledged her play in the game.
On a side note, I was watching Texas/LSU and it struck me that Taylor Jones jump hook would be a perfect addition to Jana's arsenal.
Maybe should can add it in the next month...

Azzi will be the key, if she can consistently make shots that puts Uconn at another level on offense.
And they are getting better on the defensive side

of the ball .
Put those together and you have a winning combination.

Watching the game I quickly concluded Sarah Strong was the best athlete on the floor. She was a dominant player this afternoon because she is quicker and stronger than anyone on USC’s team. She will be the difference in the NCAA tournament.

Don’t disagree with any of the above observations either.
I agree with everything except she was NOT faster than Fulwiley on South Carolina, KK was the closest to her speed and I don't think even she was as fast as Fulwiley.

Against SC, sometimes the other team can get a lead; but invariably, SC will have a monster quarter where they take the lead back and then pull away. UConn never let them do this- UConn played great all 4 quarters and after each one kept expanding their lead. Great coaching by Geno and staff- UConn was superbly prepared, the timeout to settle team when SC reduced lead to 10in 2nd quarter was perfectly timed, his substitutions were effective and didn’t give SC any advanatage.
Yes. Kudos to Geno for taking time outs when SC seemed to get a little momentum. In the past, he would allow the team to play through the other team's run, but he strategically took them to slow SC down and did after the timeout. What a well-coached game!!
