UConn vs Illinois (Final Four)

I'm sure given the "well, actually..." nature of twitter someone is going to post a pic of the 2009 FF banner
This was my first thought (because it would’ve accidentally disrespected that team), but they don’t actually have a banner I think.

Yes. But I don't like that the (wild)cat is getting one over on the dog.
To me it looked like the dog got the last laugh.

Although I don't like that Dan Hurley isn't worried about Mullins playing after the next two games.
I think Hurley is saying he wants Mullins to play so well he’s able to declare.

This is the women's corner but IIRC there's the same one for the men's. I wouldn't consider this a banner though like we hang for the championships

We have to be the only program in college basketball that seems to not celebrate their Final Four team too much.

We’re spoiled.

If Stewart is really close to !00% and Silas at 90% or so, that is MASSIVE. Perfect game for JS, and we need Silas to disrupt Wagler. Malachi feasted on this team last time, and with the way he is playing right now, I think he can be a factor here as well.

I was in Detroit in 2009 with floor seats and I felt like I needed binoculars. It's a terrible watch unless you have amazing seats.
I'm going because it's close to where I live in Chicago and it's a chance to hang out for 4 days with some of my oldest friends, it also makes their journey easier because I can pick them up in Chicago and drive them down. I'll do the same next year in Detroit if UConn makes it.

I'm prepared to have a difficult viewing experience and just want to soak in the atmosphere of the long final 4 wknd. If it was flying across the country and spending many thousands of dollars while having difficulty seeing what is actually happening on the court I think I would feel differently. Basketball isn't meant to be played in giant football stadiums.

Came across an article from Fox News-Chicago about our Nov game which I found interesting. Our starting 5 (including Demary) leading up to FF- Played only 1 minute together as a unit in Nov. game. Reed played only 15 minutes due to foul trouble. Different teams now? Yes. IMO-Encouraging for the Good Guys.

Illinois fans think the two 7 footers may bother Tarris. I just think Tarris is way too quick and strong for them. Not to pick on Reibe, but he was not able to handle Zuby all year, even in the game in Hartford. Speed and strength will negate a 2 or 3 inch height advantage.

I didn't think this needed to be said, but that is not a real text. It's a parody account
The supposed profile picture of Dan Hurley might have been a giveaway

He's made positive contributions in the first half minutes he played in both the MSU and Duke games

clearly he missed the memo that he was supposed to say something super vague like "ohh...i dunno...not sure i can go, but maybeeee"

UCLA famously only hangs natty banners in Pauley as well.

It had been floating around through word of mouth but confirmation here that Stewart had loose bone chips removed from his knee

Someone on here had said that and it made perfect sense with the timing of the recovery.

Ball talks about his wrist injury and how he's had to change his game to adapt.

Ball admitted that he's compromised right now due to the lingering impact of a painful wrist injury suffered in mid-December. Ball harkens back to a 15-day stretch in December where he landed awkwardly on his wrist against Butler, sat out against DePaul and re-aggravated the injury against Xavier.

Some side by side stats from different type of threes last season to this season in the article.
