I’m hoping our next 2 games are 40%+ from 3A 40% game from 3 could not come at a better time!
We are very overdue for that but… if we bring defense we’ll be good.I’m hoping our next 2 games are 40%+ from 3
Both flaws of Illinois & UM revolve around 3 pointers. These games are being played in a Dome......Good analysis of the game from Jeff Borzello and Myron Medcalf of ESPN. Both predict UConn winning a close one.

I’m disappointed the Illinois fans haven’t given us more bulletin board material like this gem. Maybe they’ve learned.
It only hurts the mojo if you think it hurts the mojo. I don't. Didn't Illinois have a guy that couldn't be stopped last time UConn played in the tourney? I admit I only saw a few non-UConn minutes of Illinois and the looked like crap. I don't get the love. And don't forget what Boneyard-fave Dave Portnoy said about game last year:Too much positivity in this tread. Not good for the MOJO
Ned picked the Final Four, apologies if this is considered political. It's just 2 governors with a friendly wager
“… And perhaps our world-famous pizza. I don’t know how I’m gonna get it to you sizzling hot, don’t think I’m gonna have to worry about it,” Lamont said confidently in the reel.
Bob nailed the call and was sacked. Tough business. As soon as Braylon hit the shot Sunday, my first thought was to get Bob Heussler on the phone to talk about the comparisons between Sunday and Tate George. I did that today:
Two iconic shots for one iconic program: Bob Heussler relives Tate George and shares perspective on Braylon Mullins

the negative narrative is that the game comes down to shooting and we have not shot well at all. Illinois is the better shooting team.Too much positivity in this tread. Not good for the MOJO
Illinois and UConn shoot exactly the same percentage on threes, Illini just take more of them.the negative narrative is that the game comes down to shooting and we have not shot well at all. Illinois is the better shooting team.
We want Arizona in a thrilling one point OT win over Michigan on a buzzer beater. Let's sap them out of winning their "national championship".10-15 pt win! Done, want Arizona to beat Michigan, road to Championship again!
That is the dilemma - do you want a revenge game against our only out-of-conference loss, or a chance to be Big Ten champs?10-15 pt win! Done, want Arizona to beat Michigan, road to Championship again!
Revenge game - better matchup. Would love to get the B10 punked out in the semi's too. That is the dilemma - do you want a revenge game against our only out-of-conference loss, or a chance to be Big Ten champs?
we've been shooting like shit in the tourney. 29% they've done a bit better at 36%.Illinois and UConn shoot exactly the same percentage on threes, Illini just take more of them.
Cool stat
Ok lets get back to UConn vs Illinois.
For fun, I rewatched the MSG game from November. It was a bit strange seeing Jalen Stewart starting. Then remembered that it was Mullins first game (due to injury) and he didn't play much , only scoring on a single jumper. Also Reed was almost invisible and probably 50% of himself now. I remembered that Boswell scored a bunch, but for some reason Silas was a step slow to defend and was in foul trouble. Solo played well and we need him again. Wagler may replace Boswell's scoring in this one but that's ok. They both can't score 25.
Excited for this one !
Cool stat
Illinois doesn't play aggressive defense and doesn't force turnovers. Our offense runs very smoothly against those types of teams.I haven’t rewatched, but we ran our sets to perfection and were killing then. Boswell started scoring down 20 and cut into our lead but we controlled that game from early on.
Demary, Reed and Mullins weren’t anywhere near their peak of this season. If Silas is feeling better on his ankle, we’re going to be tough to beat.
