I'm going to need some time to digest that last one before I can think about Illinois. But I can tell you that this going to be as close to a literal home game for Illinois as you can get.

We faced him, he just didn't play great. However, Mullins only played 10 minutes as he was coming back from injury, and Reed was still hobbled.....Illinois is certainly better, but now way can you discount Hurley, this team, and this staff!

Illinois is a very good team. I think Duke was better. Much St might be better too.

They have seen us so there is that. Not sure how much the game means since Wagner, Reed and Mullins are all different players.

Three things I like off the bat. Head coach experience in a Final 4. They are too slow for Alex. And Tarris is too big for them inside.

I will enjoy tonight before really digging deep on Illinois, but they are very talented, can certainly win the game, and have an all world freshman in Wagler. However, they are not an ultra quick team, don't press much, and don't have a 4 man who is head and shoulders athletically beyond Karaban. UConn can certainly beat Illinois. No matter what happens, this has been one hell of a ride! My biggest hope this week is that the ESPNs, TNTs, etc. really profile Karaban and give him his due. Kid has been to 3 Final Fours. Unheard of in modern college basketball.

This is gonna be terrific game. Not as good as the nightcap, but I think UConn is gonna play carefree and easy. I gotta believe Karaban won’t have that poor a game and Demary will get better with a week off. I gotta admit, I dread Michigan or Arizona in the final. LOL. But, hell, get there and take your best shot.

Gonna wait a bit to get into it, but I really like this matchup. I just think this is the kind of team that plays into what we want to do.

I respect Illinois, but if you told all of us at the beginning of the tournament we could play Illinois to get to the national title game, I think we all would have signed up for it.

I also like that Michigan and Arizona have to play each other, and all the focus will be on that game.

For me, it's all gravy after beating Duke, the # 1 overall seed. Also, did Scheyer give credit to UConn in his post-game presser? I heard his opening comments and no credit to UConn. Maybe I missed it.
