UConn v. USF @ J.O.C. (Fri. 5/10 @ *3p*, *Sat. 5/11 > Double Header Gm 1 @ 11a/Gm 2 @ 2:45*)

And sure enough, we finally get a run and now Kersten forgets how to throw strikes and just like that the lead is gone.

Top 7th, two walks followed by a single ties up the game with one out. Kersten coming out,

Huge sigh of relief....

Ground-out ends the bases loaded threat. Tied at 1.

Coaches showing lots of faith in Angus...probably want to save the bullpen as long as possible bc they all pitched yesterday.

They've been talking up Angus in interviews, I've been waiting for him to start pitching in tight situations. You can't just rely on three guys out of the pen all the time.

Bottom 7th, UConn has two runners on with 2 out, Christian Fedko up after a pitching change. Pop up ends the inning. Game tied at 1.

Top 8th, 2 runners on and 1 out, a single scores a run for USF to give them a 2-1 lead. Batter goes to 2B on the throw.

Phillips has done an admirable job @ 3rd today.

Time to try to wake up the ghosts of J.O.C for an assist here...

Ground out ends the top of the 8th. Nice plays by both Phillips and Chris Winkel on that one.

We are an upper cutting happy team. Everyone popping the ball up. Swing level!
