Talking about Nick Krauth possibly moving up on the weekend totem pole away from Sunday. Once again, Penders is convinced that Colby Dunlop is tipping pitches, and that they will get him straightened out with that. He also thinks UConn can learn a lot from UNO and their approach to hitting (especially with 2 strikes). Big props to Polonia. Also, aside from the error on the pickoff, liked Crawford's defense at 1B.

People missed that Crawford had a homer at the end of the Saturday rout. He will be and is a big power threat.

Agreed that Crawford is a major home run threat. In addition, Gozzo and both Fedko's can occasionally run into one as well. Still, this team is below average in terms of pure home run power overall (although above average in just about every other category).

Frankly I would rather a team that hits for average than for power anyway, so it's no big deal for me.

The staff now has an ERA of 6.52. So we are going to need all the hitting, average or power) we can get.
