Do we know who is getting the rock this evening? Was anything said on the broadcast last night?

Chris Jones did not know who else was going to be a starting pitcher in the games with Seton Hall.

Do you guys know if they normally have concessions at all games? I'm going to the Saturday game with a few family members and would like to know if I should bring snacks or if there would be stuff for us to buy there (I know it's pricier but the kids get excited to be able to go buy something there).

PS - We do plan on hitting up the Dairy Barn afterwards

Haven’t been to a game since last year, but there is a concession stand. Can’t remember the selection, but I’m sure the kids will find something they like

Could someone explain to me what Biller is bringing to the table that’s so great that Root is only playing rarely, or Belisario isn’t sharing time with him? I’m not getting it.

And while we are at it, Grabowski hitting below the Mendoza line here in his Sr season. I know he has already been sharing duty with Lane, but would like to see more Tirado and less Grabowski when a righty is pitching. I would like to see more Belisario.

In my mind, part of it has to do with MacArthur being the D.H and not playing 1B. If MacArthur was at 1B, it would increase the chance of Root getting playing time at the D.H. spot.

rest.
I would be shocked if it was for rest. What other major program rests their ace in a key conference game. It's not like we can afford to lose games. Has to be an injury of some sort.

Top 1st, Ellisen gives up a leadoff single, and the runner moves to 2B on a wild pitch with no outs. A no out double drives in a run, the batter is thrown out for the 1st out trying to move on to 3B. 1-0 Seton Hall.

With 2 outs, Ellisen gives up a solo homer, 2-0 Seton Hall going to the bottom of the inning.

They’ve been talking during games about his recent pitch counts and the fact he missed 2024 due to injury. Can there me more to it - sure, but they seem to be painting a picture of just being cautious based on data from their ArmCare pitching system metrics.

Yeah, Chris Jones has mentioned this during game broadcasts.

Bottom 1st, with 1 out Shpur draws a walk, Daniels follows with a single. A double steal is successful, putting 2 runners in scoring position. Minick draws a walk to load the bases with 1 out. A double play ends this scoreless inning for UConn. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Top 2nd, after giving up a leadoff walk, Ellisen has a scoreless inning with the help of a great catch by Shpur in CF for the 2nd out. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Bottom 2nd, a leadoff single by Padilla. With 1 out Lane gets a single, and Biller follows with a walk to load the bases. A 2 out infield single by Shpur brings in a run, 2-1 Seton Hall.

The bases are left loaded.

Top 3rd, Ellisen gives up a leadoff double, followed by a single to put runners on the corners. A ground out for the 1st out moves up both runners up a base and brings in a run, 3-1 Seton Hall.

This is followed by a 1 out walk putting 2 runners on base. Shpur makes another great catch in CF for the 2nd out, and Ellisen gets a strikeout to end the inning. 3-1 Seton Hall.

Ellison not missing bats. The defense has been good behind him. Bats a little unlucky in big spots.
