The other thing is that West and his pitching has improved as the season has progressed. We'll have to see if this improvement continues, especially in the area a walks and hit by pitches.

Bottom 3rd, the leadoff batter Rispoli reaches 1B on an error, with 1 out Rispoli steals 2B. Daniels follows with a 1 out 2 run homer. 3-1 UConn.

With 2 outs, Dougherty gets an infield single, he steals 2B. Padilla follows with an inside the park homer that could have been an error on the CF. 5-1 UConn.

Top 4th, West gives up a leadoff walk, the runner moves to 2B on a wild pitch, but is thrown at 3B for the 1st out on an infield single. Another 1 out single and a walk loads the bases. West strikes out the next batter for the 2nd out, and then comes out of the game. Finn takes the mound. West gave up 6 walks and 1 hit by pitch today.

Finn walks the 1st batter he faces which brings in a run, 5-2 UConn.

Finn strikes out the next batter to end the inning.

Wasn’t always pretty, but West did his job today
 
Top 6th, after giving up 2 singles with 2 outs, Finn has a scoreless inning. Finn now has 5 strikeouts in this game so far. 5-2 UConn.
 
Top 7th, with 1 out, Alejandro gives up 2 walks. Alejandro comes out of the game, Afthim takes the mound. UConn pitching has given up 9 walks so far in this game.

Afthim walks the first batter he faces to load the bases. Afthim strikes out the next batter for the 2nd out and gets a pop out to end the inning with no runs coming in. 5-2 UConn.

Through 7, our pitchers, while only giving up two runs, have given up a remarkable ELEVEN free 90s. Luckily, Seton Hall has hit in the clutch like Annie Hall, and has through 7 FOURTEEN men left on base.

Biller follows the homer with a 2 out single, he steals 2B. Biller is left on base.
 
Top 9th, Afthim gives up a leadoff solo homer, 8-4 UConn.

Afthim gives up a no out single, and with 2 out a batter reaches base on an error by Padilla. A 2 out double drives in 2 runs, 8-6 UConn.

A ground out ends the game. UConn wins 8-6, and sweeps the Seton Hall series.
