Planning on attending first game of the year. Go Huskies!

Yeah, I was thinking about going to the game on Saturday, but my wife and I are hosting an Easter dinner with several friends on Sunday. So on Saturday I expect to be cleaning up things at home before and after following the game from home.

Seton Hall (14-22 2-4 Big East) RPI: 208
UConn: (18-17 5-4 Big East) RPI: 46

Interesting how the game notes from the above story that is on the UConn athletics website does not list any starting pitchers for UConn during the Seton Hall series. Last weekend against Georgetown all the starting pitchers did fine. Of course, this series starts a day earlier than the normal Big East baseball weekend due to Easter. Still, I would be surprised if Pudvar and West don't get starts during this series unless some sort of injury is involved in the decision.

Is Pudvar hurt? Or is pitching him with 5 days rest instead of 6 that big a deal? Really strange to start a weekend series with a bullpen game (although my hunch is we'll see Cooke given the ball very early and given a lot of rope).

Top 1st, Abbadessa gives up a leadoff single, with 1 out another single followed by another single that drives in a run, 1-0 Seton Hall.

Bottom 1st, with 2 outs Daniels gets on base with a double, he is left on base. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Van Emon comes in to pitch for UConn.

Top 2nd, after a 1 out single and a 2 out single that puts runners on the corners, Van Emon has a scoreless inning. 2-0 Seton Hall.
I think your keyboard is broken. I don't know what you typed, but it came out as someone other than Afthim came out of the bullpen and gave us a scoreless inning.

Bottom 2nd, the UConn offense goes down in order. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Top 3rd, Van Emon has a scoreless inning after giving up a leadoff single and a 1 out single. The runner at 1B is thrown out trying to steal 2B for the final out of the inning. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Bottom 3rd, after MacArthur leads off with a single, Rispoli gets a 1 out single, the inning ends on a double play with no runs coming in. 2-0 Seton Hall.

Top 4th, Van Emon hits the leadoff batter. Van Emon comes out of the game, Hutchinson takes the mound.

Hutchinson walks the 1st batter he faces, and strikes out the next batter for the 1st out. Hutchinson comes out of the game, Cooke takes the mound.
