A 2 run sac fly is certainly not something you see every day

Right fielder was going towards the foul line, made the catch, but went to the ground, so he wasn't able to throw the ball back to the infield right away.

Got to love Smith's base running, I believe he has only been thrown out trying to steal once this season so far, and he has stolen a bunch of bases. Too bad he was left on base to end the bottom of the 2nd.

Top 3rd, first 2 Rutgers batters reach base on singles, a sac fly for the 2nd out ties the game at 4 going to the bottom of the inning. Cooke is at 61 pitches for the game so far. By the way, Cooke made a great diving play to get the first out on a sac bunt that inning.

At this point can't see Cooke going a long way in this game. We'll see how he does next inning.

Bottom 3rd, UConn gets into the Rutgers bullpen after a leadoff walk for Huber. A scoreless inning after a double play. Game tied at 4.

Top 4th, after 2 Rutgers batters reach base with 1 out singles, Cooke gets a double play to end the inning. Game tied at 4.

Bottom 4th, with 1 out, Morton reaches 2B on an infield single and a throwing error, but he is stranded. Game tied at 4.

Top 5th, Cooke with a 1-2-3 inning. Game tied at 4, Cooke is now at 80 pitches on the game. I'm guessing Cooke will be on the mound to start the 6th inning.

Bottom 5th, with 2 out UConn puts 2 runners on base with back to back singles, but nothing comes from the 2 out rally threat. Game tied at 4.

Top 6th, with 2 outs and a runner at 2B (leadoff single and passed ball), Cooke comes out of the game. Brady Afthim takes the mound for UConn. Afthim gets a pop up to end the inning, game tied at 4.

Bottom 6th after a Rutgers pitching change, Smith with a 1 out walk and steals 2B to put 2 runners in scoring position, but they are stranded. Still, Huskies get 2 runs that inning, 6-4 UConn.

Devin Kirby in to pitch for UConn.

Top 7th, 3 singles bring in a run for Rutgers with 1 out, 6-5 UConn, runners on the corners. A double play ends the inning. 6-5 UConn.
