Jordan Wright was not on the field in the second half of the Wake game. I don’t recall seeing him in the first half but will rewatch the game again tonight. Did anyone see him get hurt?

Well, that explains the complete lack of running by Evers last week.

Also tells me they trust Evers with a bad wheel and unable to run moreso than Fagnano fully healthy.

Even at halftime when it was obvious WF was going to make Evers beat them with his feet (And he obviously couldn't due to his health), they stuck with Evers rather than swap to Fagnano.

I thought it was Chadwick and Bell the entire game. Meant to raise that earlier.

"Old Guy" happy that 30k showed up for WF. Have to believe after reading all the posts, that Refs affected the game in a negative way for UC. Hoping fans give it one more shot this Sat. against Rice. One way or another the program needs a win in this game...QB controversy may be hurting the team. Players perhaps split on who should be taking the snaps. Sort of human nature...Anyway, as always, love the posts, and lets roll Huskies...

Should have gone with Fagnano given this news. I guess the focus is on developing Evers now. Oh well. Would have loved to beat Wake.
Having seen many Bobby Redpants coached games, I am NOT a fan of the developmental philosophy. Win now. If Evers can't run he should sit.

Need to get to off to a better start, instead of getting a 1st down by a yard past the marker let's get it by 5 yards just to make sure we get a 1st.

I don't disagree, but that is easier said than done.

And losing a toe nail is nothing. Ski racers do that every season because they use narrow boots that are very reactive.

Coaching staff is playing him unless he bombs. Did not bomb against WF. Showed progress beginning to end of game. If he starts where he left off and progresses again, we might all be able to breathe a little, no smiling, but breathing. One poster compared stats with JF and NE and said(I didn't check) that against superior comp, NE stats were comparable to or better than JF. Many times folks posted that NE ceiling is higher than JF, and floor looks to be rising. No real controversy here. We may or may not have a QB that can takes us up a notch, but for now his name is Nick Evers..

Go Huskies, beat Rice.

Mora said toe nail bothered him during the week. Mora said he had to play in shoes that lineman wear. That can not be good for speed or maneuvering.

Wouldn't surprise me if it took WF about 2 plays to realize Evers was wearing some funky cleats.

That info pretty much tells you where the coaches are at. I wouldn't have started an injured QB that hasn't proven he can use all the tools in the toolbox and is essentially a runner with a bad wheel. But it's Nick or bust. At this point in the season we need to be showing progress. The last 2 games that hasn't been the case. You can't point to one or two drives. The games are 4 quarters. If the coaches are correct we should start seeing that progress this week or next. I think it's a fair measure based on their own expectations.
