This is an annoying weekend for me, with both the Saturday and Sunday UConn baseball games on at pretty much the same time as the UConn basketball games. I'll record both the basketball games and watch them at some point after the baseball games, but still, I like watching the basketball games live.
 
Bottom 1st, FAU loads the base with no outs with an error by Daniels, a single, and Cooke hitting a batter. A run scores on a ground out for the 1st out. 1-0 FAU.

A 1 out single brings in another run, 2-0 FAU, runners on the corners.

A 1 out 3 run homer makes it 5-0 FAU.

After a 2 out single, a double drives in another run. 6-0 FAU. Another single makes it 7-0 FAU.

Inning finally over. Figure we are going to see a lot of work out of the UConn bullpen in this game. It will be interesting to see which guys out of the bullpen do okay today.

What a train wreck. Have to imagine we’re in our own heads at this point. Pulling for HookC til the end and willing to accept that maybe this year won’t be like the rest.

Top 2nd, Daniels with a leadoff single, he is thrown out trying to steal 2B. A scoreless inning for the UConn offense with no more batters getting on base. 7-0 FAU.
 
Bottom 2nd, a no out 2 run homer off of Cooke, 9-0 FAU. Cooke is coming out of the game.

Kyle Peters takes the mound, pitching in his first game for UConn.

Peters gives up a solo homer to the first batter he faces, 10-0 FAU.

Peters loads the bases with 2 walks sandwiched around a hit by pitch after giving up the homer. A no out double drives in 3 more runs, 13-0 FAU. This is followed by a 2 run homer, 15-0 FAU.

Peters is coming out of the game. Sam Hutchinson takes the mound.

Hutchinson retires the next 3 hitters picking up 2 strikeouts to finally end this brutal inning (of course, both innings so far have been brutal for UConn). 15-0 FAU.
 
Top 3rd, Padilla leads off the inning with a solo homer, 15-1 FAU. At least the UConn offense finally gets on the board, however the next 3 batters go down in order.
 
I can sense dinner calling me at any time during this game (the way this game is going, I would not mind taking a dinner break), but my wife is watching the UConn women's basketball game right now while I give her updates on this baseball game, so that could put a big delay into dinner being ready.

Top 4th, the UConn offense leaves a runner at 2B. The leadoff hitter Biller reached 2B on an infield error. 16-1 FAU.

Am watching the UConn WBB game and thought I’d check in on the baseball game. Oof. :(
 
Top 5th, the UConn offense loads the bases with 1 out, with 2 singles and a walk. With 1 out, Shpur drives in a run with a single, 17-2 FAU.

Minick hits a grand slam with 2 outs, 17-6 FAU.

Daniels gets a walk, and MacAurthur a single. Dalena drives in 2 runs with a double. 17-8 FAU.

Pitching change.

That is it for the UConn offense for this inning, still not a bad inning for them.
