HookC Loses Series Opener at FAU - University of Connecticut Athletics

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The UConn baseball team (0-4) suffered its fourth-straight loss with a 5-4 setback against FAU on Friday night at the FAU Baseball Stadium.

This is an annoying weekend for me, with both the Saturday and Sunday UConn baseball games on at pretty much the same time as the UConn basketball games. I'll record both the basketball games and watch them at some point after the baseball games, but still, I like watching the basketball games live.

Bottom 1st, FAU loads the base with no outs with an error by Daniels, a single, and Cooke hitting a batter. A run scores on a ground out for the 1st out. 1-0 FAU.

A 1 out single brings in another run, 2-0 FAU, runners on the corners.

A 1 out 3 run homer makes it 5-0 FAU.

After a 2 out single, a double drives in another run. 6-0 FAU. Another single makes it 7-0 FAU.

Inning finally over. Figure we are going to see a lot of work out of the UConn bullpen in this game. It will be interesting to see which guys out of the bullpen do okay today.
