Curveball seems to be the strikeout pitch for Beard and it is giving uconn a lot of trouble
 
Bottom 5th, after Pudvar gives up a 1 out double, a single drives in a run. 3-1 UConn.

A 2 out double puts 2 runners in scoring position. Pudvar gives up a 3 run homer, 4-3 FAU going to the top of the 6th.

Top 6th, 1st 2 UConn batters get on base with a walk and a single. They are left on base as the next 3 batters are retired. 4-3 FAU.

Bottom 6th, after giving up a 1 out walk, and after getting the 2nd out of the inning, Pudvar comes out of the game. Greg Shaw takes the mound for the Huskies.

Shaw gets a pop out to retire the first batter he faces to end the inning, 4-3 FAU.
 
Bottom 7th, Shaw gives up 2 singles sandwiched around the 1st out, Shaw ends up having a scoreless inning leaving 2 runners on base. 4-3 FAU.

Dougherty gets hit by a pitch, but is picked off 1B to end the inning. Game tied at 4.
 
Bottom 8th, Shaw gets a fly out for the 1st out of the inning.

Shaw comes out of the game, Suchy takes the mound.

Suchy walks the 1st batter he faces. After a strikeout for the 2nd out, the runner steals 2B. A single drives in a run, 5-4 FAU.

Suchy walks the next batter putting 2 runners on base. A fly out ends the inning, 5-4 FAU.

Top 9th, the UConn offense goes down in order. FAU wins this game 5-4.
 
No replay, sure looked like they threw the guy out stealing in the bottom of the 8th, the eventual winning run.

I had a shaky feed all night. UConn+ it's not.

This is an annoying weekend for me, with both the Saturday and Sunday UConn baseball games on at pretty much the same time as the UConn basketball games. I'll record both the basketball games and watch them at some point after the baseball games, but still, I like watching the basketball games live.
 
Bottom 1st, FAU loads the base with no outs with an error by Daniels, a single, and Cooke hitting a batter. A run scores on a ground out for the 1st out. 1-0 FAU.

A 1 out single brings in another run, 2-0 FAU, runners on the corners.

A 1 out 3 run homer makes it 5-0 FAU.

After a 2 out single, a double drives in another run. 6-0 FAU. Another single makes it 7-0 FAU.

Inning finally over. Figure we are going to see a lot of work out of the UConn bullpen in this game. It will be interesting to see which guys out of the bullpen do okay today.

What a train wreck. Have to imagine we’re in our own heads at this point. Pulling for HookC til the end and willing to accept that maybe this year won’t be like the rest.
