Our position players struck out 16 times, left 12 men on base, and made 4 errors while only generating 5 hits. And we won a game by 4 runs? How is that possible? (Hint: great pitching, getting 8 walks and the other side really sucking — at least at the moment — helps).
 
Have not watched all games all innings, but our offense is not great but scrappy. Biggest thing with pitching is cutting back on walks. I would think stats would back thst up.

I am concerned about lineup depth as we have production 1-4 on the lineup and then Wachter, Jamison or Detwiler, Belisario etc look lost.

Wachter has struck out 14 times in 6 games this season.

I was surprised people were wearing hoodies, coats and blankets at that game. Always great to see UConn win. UConn can compete in the Big 12.
 
I think we are good 1 thru 4 in lineup. I also think we are good with Lane as we know what he can do. Get Minick back and thats a good 6. Now it's just a matter of figuring out who wants those other 3 spots. Battles between Detwiler vs Jamison at 3rd. Then until Minick comes back, who steps up in the outfield, Wachter, Belisario, Righi, Thomas or Polemeni?

Big 12 would be awesome for baseball, would be a super competitive and fun league

Chris Jones says Belisario has an injured hand from the game yesterday. Sounds like he is not available to play tonight.

A fielders choice ground out gets the runner heading to 2B and another run scores. 2-0 Arizona.

Suchy gets a strikeout to end the inning.
 
Top 2nd, with 1 out Thomas gets a walk, the UConn offense has a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts. 2-0 Arizona.
