Top 7th, the UConn offense loads the bases with 1 out. Dalena draws a walk bringing in a run. 3-0 UConn.

The bases are left loaded. 3-0 UConn.

Chance to blow the game open and we look at pitches down the middle and swing at a pitch for ball 4 a foot off the plate. Geez
one of those D-3 players

Belisario comes into the game takes over in CF, Wachter moves to LF, and Taylor moves to RF as Righi comes out of the game.

Fielding now letting us down. That's the left fielders ball, just like the popup was the 3rd baseman's ball

West still out there, pushing 110 pitches, looks like he's laboring a bit with control. Two misplayed foul pops adding to his workload.

Bottom 7th, West gives up a 1 out walk and after getting a strikeout for the 2nd out, West comes out of the game. Meyers takes the mound.

Meyers gets a ground out to end the inning. 3-0 UConn.

Top 8th, the UConn offense goes down in order with 3 strikeouts. 3-0 UConn.

Offense does not look good. I know it's early. Need Minack back badly. We have always been an overly aggressive team at the plate and have to admit it has drove me nuts. But this is the opposite, never seen so many pitches right down Broadway and bat doesn't move off shoulder

That wasn’t even good pitching that blew us away in the 8th. We just look lost at the plate.

Wins at Arizona might look pretty, and I am pleased with our pitching, but we have a LOT of work to do.

Yeah Marshall, Dalena and Menzel look ready to hit, Tirado had some good ABs but that’s been it. Bottom of the order is especially struggling

Arizona’s infield strikes again. 4-0 and still threatening.

See what happens when you make contact?

Top 9th, the lead off batter Rispoli gets hit by a pitch, and steals 2B. A no out single by Menzel puts runners on the corners. With 1 out Menzel steals 2B. Dalena reaches 1B on a fielders choice hit as a run scores and puts runners on the corners. 4-0 UConn.

With 2 outs Wachter draws a walk which loads the bases. The runners are left on base. All outs this inning were strikeouts.

The pitching has been great the last 2 days and Suchy takes the bump tomorrow. Our old bugaboo of baserunning gaffes is still an issue and we did not play a clean game in the field. I am concerned about lineup depth as we have production 1-4 on the lineup and then Wachter, Jamison or Detwiler, Belisario etc look lost.

Let's win the series tomorrow and hopefully put up a crooked number in the process!

They put runs up on Stanford and Oregon State but since then have gone totally silent. Too early to tell but we are catching them cold at the very least.
