Ooooof....
I agree to an extent but you also can't waste arms that you'd like to use tomorrow. They should be fine for the weekend.I just hope Penders didn't screw around too long before deciding to bring in a reliable arm.
Inexcusable that they hold on by the narrowest of margins.Wurster walks the first batter, but gets the final out on a fly out to the wall and the save, UConn the 10-7 win.
I agree also that you use guys that don't often pitch in a 10-2 score midweek game. Just don't think you wait until tying run is at the plate before you put in the reliable arm.I agree to an extent but you also can't waste arms that you'd like to use tomorrow. They should be fine for the weekend.
Another nice effort that turned ugly late when a young arm goes haywire
As I remember Santos did the same thing last week - walking the 1st 3 batters
I understand Penders using him today but I would have said one batter at a time - walk the 1st and pull him
HAVE TO win these games
It's a win but could have been a real catastrophe
Just curious, why is it assumed that Prato will be gone next year?I am really going to miss Prato's defense next year![]()

Prato has always been a plus hitter, has extremely good base running instincts, plus speed and could be a solid fielder (see him as second basemen in pros- doesn't have range or arm to play SS). Agreed he is gonna be drafted and like many previous huskies is gonna follow his dream...can't blame the kid one bit.Because he is going to go in the MLB draft this June. I would be very surprised if he doesn't get drafted.
I understand he is getting drafted. But are we assuming he will get drafted in first 5 rounds, 10 rounds or what? Why is it a given he will leave if he is not drafted early enough. What is early enough?Because he is going to go in the MLB draft this June. I would be very surprised if he doesn't get drafted.
The only solace is that how this team has played mid week seems to provide no indicator for how it will play on weekend. They had a nice UCF weekend and good mid week before looking completely lost against Cincinnati. A humbling game going into the biggest weekend series might not be a bad thing.
We really need vintage Feole and a Thursday win.

There's no exact science but first 10 rounds is virtually a lock to sign with the bonus pool rules. Rounds 10-20 are pretty good bets for college guys to sign if taken as wellI understand he is getting drafted. But are we assuming he will get drafted in first 5 rounds, 10 rounds or what?
