UMass actually doesn't have too bad an RPI (137). If we win, I suspect our RPI will remain approximately the same.
If the goal is to start moving back towards the possibility of hosting a regional, we need a 3-1 week. And that is exponentially easier with a win today.
Christian Fedko w/ bases clearing double > 6-0 UConn still T2

Quick 1-2-3 4th inning for Simeone.

Very nice. Hopefully he can deal.
We might see Dunlop for a couple of innings vs ECU now.
The only real bad RPI game left on the UConn schedule is Central, which was around 250 the last I looked.
I know its a blowout, but wish we could get in the habit of not making silly baserunning mistakes over and over.
Just checked, Central is at 243.
Chris Jones was speculating that Dunlop may not make that trip because of this start. That would make sense if Dunlop ends up starting the Monday game against Central.
