Long delay, new ump behind the plate and a 4 pitch walk to start the inning. Hope it doesn't effect Feole.
 
Feole issues a couple of walks, but gets out of trouble unscathed in the bottom of the 4th. 3-0 UConn.

Are we trying to avoid Tulane's bullpen? We had this guy on a high pitch count after the first few innings, now it seems everyone is swinging first pitch and we are letting him off the hook.
 
On the other hand Tulane who was swinging early in the first few innings are now more patient and Foele has just as many pitches as their pitcher and they are now getting to him.
 
Lambrecht misses another pop up. Perhaps this is why Moriarty has been a late inning sub for him during the Hill injury.

Why are the 2nd baseman errors listed as hits??!?

The other part of the problem is that the UConn offense just doesn't get that many people on base. Only 3 regulars have on base percentages over .350. That matters a lot.

Typical baseball scoring. If the fielder don't touch it no matter how badly they botched it, it is often ruled a hit.

Two runners on and two out in the 6th, Mason Feole is coming out and Ryan Radue is coming in.
 
I love the heart by our pitchers, but we are not winning a 3-2 game. Hit the damn ball.
 
Some guy with a 7.76 ERA just silenced that rally...before Tulane makes another horrible error tgat gifts us two runs. Unbelievable.

Love the dead duck play though :)
