We need to get off to faster starts. We pitched and fielded fine except for the bottom of the third inning, but this offense has to jump on people.

Feldstein for Gnesda /Toppa and Stefanski
in outfield w/ Kruger:

Might be the best defensive outfield that UConn can put out on the field. Gnesda comes out, he has a decent batting average, not much power, but has one of the better on base percentages on the team, as he is the team leader in taking walks.

Hope we get lights @ JOC soon so they can practice catching pop ups under the fake sun.

Montgomerie strikes out the first two batters he faces, then Lambrecht and Winkel let a pop up drop in. Montgomerie ends of striking out the side to get out of trouble. Overall, one of the easier 1st innings Wills has had this season.

Bottom 2nd, Montgomerie gets two strike outs during a 1-2-3 inning. Montgomerie already has 5 strikeouts.

Top 7th, Feldstein leads of the inning with a double but is stranded there. UConn offense hasn't presented much in the way of threats all game.

Christian Colletti, who spent two years on the UConn baseball team, comes in to pitch the bottom of the 7th for Tulane.
