Let's just go back to the hotel. They aren't ready to play. Geez, come on Toppa. Know the game situation.

Stefanski now in left field in place of Toppa, taken out for his thoughtless base running mistake.

After the nightmare 3rd inning, Cate comes up with a 1-2-3 inning in the 4th.

.-.
Ooof... that was a blast.

Cate's thrown a lot of pitches in this one already. Given the score, he should probably come out of the game next inning.

Edit. Cate is at 94 pitches after the 5th.

Offense is a concern. We have very little power which means we have to string together several hits to score. And to top it off our base running has been suspect which makes it even harder.

I was saying the same thing. This offensive is what we thought they were. If our pitching isn't world class, odds are we are losing the game.

Jake Wallace in for the 7th. He could really use a good inning given his recent troubles.

.-.
Lambrecht w/ a wall banging double brings home two 8-3 and chased the pitcher. 2 outs.

In comes Schnake.

Stefanski has earned the start in CF for Krueger tomorrow.
Stefanski should be starting CF every game, but I feel Kruger has earned a spot in the lineup. Stefanski is by far the best outfielder on the team in terms of fielding and he's a solid bat. He constantly puts good swings on the ball and has only struck out 2 times in 51 at bats.

Why do our guys keep swinging at 3 ball pitches that are out of the strike zone? We can use a few base runners via a free pass.

Didn't think I'd be typing this. Andrew Zapata (!?) in to pitch the 8th. Hits the first batter.

.-.
Still think this kid could be an X factor. Think it is all mental right now.

Fielding is atrocious tonight. Good throw to third and he's out. No help for a pitcher who is struggling.

I disagree about the X factor, as I lost all confidence in Zapata long before tonight. Still, he isn't being helped by his fielders tonight.

Susi got really lucky there. If he goes to block that earlier he gets a foul ball off the temple
