Cam Ross showed out right off the bat at UConn. Joly also rose week by week to be a standout as a young player. Don't know if them leaving was all money related but when Skyler Bell returned he told us the story. Joe Fagnano returned and he stayed at UConn. All receivers need to believe that the QB has the ability to get them the ball. When Ross and Joly left I think they were not confident they would be playing with a QB who could reliably be a passing threat. And an OC who had his stuff together. JMHO

It is what it is, but watching Hardy make a key stop and then seeing Joly catch a touchdown two plays later makes me feel proud that UConn develops talent. However, it is bittersweet.

He was one of their top receivers last year, I would not be surprised if he was their #1 this yr. He was a great player, which we all knew, he is making a very strong case to play on Sunday’s.

The color guy on the broadcast said Joly was the receiver Wake Forest had to stop as he was the #1 threat on NC State. Watched the first half and did not hear them mention he started his career at UConn.

247 had him 2* coming out of Iona Prep and UConn was his only offer @ the time.
