I think Clemson would most certainly leapfrog Boise St. Then it would come down to where Arizona St or Iowa St falls

If Boise loses then it makes the whole discussion moot since they wouldn't be a conference champion and both the B12 and ACC would get the bye.

Yeah, I'm not sure what Yormark is thinking, post #1,975. Maybe he thinks that Clemson would leapfrog either Boise State if they both win or Clemson would leapfrog the Arizona St/Iowa St winner. For some reason he must feel that the Big 12 is being shunned somehow. Maybe a whole lot of banter about nothing. I think in the end, he is not happy with Boise St being ranked so high leaving one of the P4 out. He focused on strength of schedule.

The Big 12 doesn’t have an elite team this year and he’s doing exactly what he’s saying committee shouldn’t: judge a team based on logo. In this case, the P4 logo.

FSU is bad. Clemson has 3 losses. SMU was a G5 last year. We’re suddenly supposed to think the ACC with their P4 logo is sitting right there with the BIG and SEC??? Same with Big 12. There is certainly some separation, but not enough to simply discredit a very solid Boise state team for not being in Big 12 or ACC. Both those conferences have some weak teams to boost stats and records.

Except you've heard Yormark talk about brand value and large fan bases as it relates to UConn. Those schools are not like us. Now if they take a no money like SMU we are hit.

Its not the best start for the B12 and the new CFP, but I don't think the results of season 1 of the new format are going to rock UConn off its possible path to the B12. Yes the B12 needs football, but it also needs markets and more east coast teams and we deliver on both. Lets see what happens this winter.

couterpoint. We could perhaps be a favorable win opportunity in the short term for Big XII top teams. If it's all about wins and brands, we got your brand right here. Unless they are scared of our football already.
