His batting average is ~.225. We need him to perform to his ability level.

I'm beginning to wonder about him ever hitting for a high average. Chris Winkel has never hit higher than about .230 in two years of summer college ball.

Haus gets out of it! We still haven't given up a hit.

Do we need one more inning from the pen before we give Wallace the ball, or two?

I'd say Wallace gets the 8th and the 9th innings. Could see Dandeneau for an inning.

Trouble in the 6th, Haus in trouble with runners at 2nd and 3rd as Phillips misplays a bunt, allowing a run to score. Chase Gardner coming in with no out.

Whew...I would think they ride CJ for one more inning, then go to Wallace. Tomorrow will be difficult to win so I would love to win the series today.

I am not sure why Kenny Haus got the nod over someone like Karl Johnson...

Maybe because 3 innings isn't enough of a sample size to throw out everything you learned from watching them in fall and spring practice?

According to coach interviews that have been posted. Johnson has been either on or off through the fall and the preseason. He's had good outings last weekend, I'm sure he will get more chances in the coming weeks.
