UConn @ Texas State Bobcats (Fri. 3/8 @ 7:30p ET, Sat. 3/9 @ 3:30 ET & Sun. 3/10 @ 1p ET)

UConn get two runs to tie it up in the top of the 4th. Phillips and Kyler Fedko cross the plate. UConn still up with 2 out, and Woodworth at 1B.

Texas State's pitcher has killed them with pitches in the dirt intended to get swings and misses.

Bottom 4th, with 2 out, 2 runners on base, and a 2-0 count, Kersten comes out of the game, Caleb Wurster coming in. 4-3 UConn. Looks like the bullpen is going to see plenty of work this series.

Bottom of the order is getting on base tonight. Both Kyler Fedko and David Langer have a hit and a walk in this game. Also helps to have Phillips batting 7th and hitting homers. Phillips should be hitting a bit higher in the lineup, in my opinion.

Double by Langer results in a Texas State pitching change. 2 outs, man on 2nd.

Outstanding baseball so far...even the 3 runs TSU has scored are a result of good offense, not self-inflicted wounds.

Keeps hitting like he has of late and it’s gonna be tough to keep him out of the line-up.

I doubt any team in college baseball has our depth at catcher. Any of them would be welcomed with open arms at catcher-starved Florida right now.

I recall that in the early interviews the coaches said that Phillips did not do well in the preseason. He's hitting now, that's for sure.

Bottom 6th, 2 out, Wang balks in a run, sends a runner to 2B to make it 8-4. Long fly out to the CF wall to end the inning.
