One out base hit off of Phillips at 3B. Might not be seeing much more of Phillips at 3B after this game. Then again, I don't know how well he did there in fall ball.

Ya, I'm over that experiment. Even seemed to affect his batting today.

Nice job CJ! So do we see him again in the 8th?

It would not surprise me if he stays in, unless UConn takes the lead in the 8th, then I would think Wallace comes in. Either way, I doubt we will see Dandeneau pitching tomorrow.

The Texas State field is entirely artificial save for the pitching mound. I assume that the new stadium due to New England weather and maintenance is going to be the same.....

That’s the plan...

Nothing doing for UConn in the 8th. Avery Santos in to pitch. Moriarty takes over at 3B, Chiovitti in right field.

1 out single by TSU, and they advance to 2nd on a wild pitch. I would use Wallace since he did not pitch yesterday.

Looks like Penders agrees with you. Wallace coming in, runners on 1B and 2B after Santos gives up a walk.

Pat Winkel leads off the 9th with a single, another 3 hit game for him. Ben Maycock in to pinch run.

Runner on 3rd, 2 outs. Biggest moment in the game.

Moriarity strikes out. He is now batting under .145.

Free baseball.

Okay - who wants to be a hero?

At least they don't stick a runner at 2B at the start of each extra inning like they do in the minors now. We got sick of that quite quickly last summer watching the Connecticut Tigers.
