We also have three star freshman recruits coming in for next year's class, and we all know Penders is not afraid to throw a talented frosh into the fire!

I love the production we are starting to get from Wang. He will be a key part of our future.

Just wondering, who are the three star freshmen recruits for next season that you are referring to? And yes, certainly true that Penders is always willing to go with a talented freshman player.

What happened to baseballguy and ATLDYKA? Miss them :(

Very good performance today; let's clamp down and finish them tomorrow.
Thanks for checking. I'm always here following UConn baseball. Been trying to keep a low profile. Just got tired of the personal attacks by a certain someone.
I am actually heading up to Greenville next Saturday to catch the DoubleHeader against the Sparties. Looking forward to it.

Sounds like it was great game sat night.

Let’s win a Saturday game, now!

Don't be frightened...feel free to contribute!

Zeigler, Wozny, and that New Hampshire beast...I am stoked for all 3 of them. I think they are coming next year, I could be a year off though.

Yeah, the 3 you list are very good but are presently HS juniors.
Sam Faveri is a HS senior to keep our eyes on.
Too bad Burrows went pro, for UConn.

I was wondering if that was the trio you were referring to. They are high school juniors now, so they will be in Storrs for the 2021 spring season. Still, they got I believe 8 pitching recruits so far for next season, just not sure who is the cream of the crop in that group. Three lefty pitchers in that group (Max Nielsen, Reggie Crawford, and Garrett Coe), UConn usually has some good luck with the southpaws they get into the program.

Have fun next Saturday in Greenville.

Phillips at 3B is interesting indeed. Hot bat, we will see about the glove. Well, non conference games are when you see experiments, that is for sure. Phillips played 3B in fall ball, I wasn't expecting it in the regular season.

Once again, a weekend split attention game with women's basketball playing in the AAC tournament.

Top 1st, sac fly by Toppa brings in Prato to make it 1-0 UConn, after Prato had stolen 2B and 3B. Earlier in the inning Woodworth was picked off/caught trying to steal 3B by the pitcher.

Sounds like the ump gave some help to the pitcher who couldn't find the strike zone.

the last one was not even close to a strike.....no exaggeration

Woodworth make another fine play in center field to end the bottom of the 2nd. 1-0 UConn. Feole at 26 pitches.

Texas State pitcher has retired 7 Huskies in a row, Feole coming on to pitch the bottom of the 3rd.

Hopefully the offense will get it back in gear.

Sounds like the umps have been dreadful in both games.

Bottom 3rd, Feole faces the minimum 3 batters as the inning ends on a double play. Feole at 40 pitches.

More baserunning blunders...

For some reason, this team typically performs against stromg pitching (like yesterday) and struggles vs. high era guys.
