UConn Signees: Christyn W. and ONO

@Sluconn Husky any word on ONO? My stomach has been in knots since Friday 12/15.

Haven't found anything yet, but Winder Barrow opens play at Crescom tonight so we'll have an idea then. I'm guessing it's not too bad an injury since she's questionable and not a definite out.

To offer a somewhat positive note... maybe she has the flu?

A 5-star prospect in the opinion of most recruiting services, Winder-Barrow standout and UConn commit Olivia Nelson-Ododa is the top attraction for this year’s event. However, her status is in question following a recent injury.

Relieved that she is playing through last year's injury and hopefully she has great doctor making sure she takes small steps.

Nelson-Ododa will square off against potential UConn target Natalija Marshall tomorrow.

Nelson-Ododa hasn't been the same this year. Don't know if it's the time off or if she's still recovering but she's not the dominant player she was leading up to the injury. Struggled in WB's loss at the Crescom tonight. In her defense, she has no help whatsoever. Still, concerned about her return to form.

She split free throws with 6 seconds left when she needed to make both to tie.

10 points (2-7 fg, 5-10 ft), 6 rebounds, 5 TO's

After such a horrendous injury - with almost a year's worth of recovery time, and now grieving a death in the family, Liv needs time. Give her the next couple of months, and she will show us some of her greatness once again, I believe.

Christyn looks like another ankle breaker. Geno says that Crystal goes wherever she wants. I'd say the same about Christyn. I think she could have attacked the seams of Maryland's zone today.

I love her use of the right hand. She's not a true lefty. I believe that Paul Westphal was ambidextrous. Christyn is another.
Well I looking forward to a southpaw shooter even if it's fake.:D
I can't even remember the last one.

Much better game for Olivia Nelson-Ododa Friday night at the Crescom Classic.

18 points (6-11 fg, 6-8 ft), 11 rebounds in 32 minutes

Winder-Barrow won and will play one more game there tomorrow.
Good news. Glad to hear it!

Winder-Barrow got soundly beaten in their final game of the Crescom Classic Saturday morning, but Nelson-Ododa had a nice game.

21 points (6-9 fg, 9-14 ft), 6 rebounds

She finished at 49% from the field and 63% from the line during the 4-game tourney.

I gather she is relatively healthy now?

Not sure she was ever injured. Missed the first game of the season with an illness and another recently after attending a relative's funeral.

Thanks. I was responding to your post from way back when. Haven't read this thread for a while.

I was wondering if she is fully recovered from her injury from last year.

Christyn Williams scored 20 points Wednesday for CAC.

Edit for full line: 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 blocks.
