UConn "Secret" Scrimmages

Maybe Marquette? The game at home I felt like we owned it from start to finish.
I was thinking seton hall at the garden….either way I don’t think it was as obvious on the outside as it was to him. I think the less menacing more skilled is a good trade off.

Anyone got the scoop for the UVA scrimmage that was supposed to happen today?

.-.
Word from the Duke - Houston scrimmage is that Houston won by 10.
To be fair, Duke was missing Lively and Whitehead who are #1 and #2 in the recruit rankings lol. And apparently they shot 2-17 from 3. If I’m Houston, I’m a little concerned we only won by 10 points considering the circumstances…

Nothing on Virginia basketball twitter or forums that I can see either. Hopefully some beat reports on Monday.

So, the secret scrimmage has remained a secret for more than 12 hours.

Impressive.
Hurley takes his scrimmage secrecy very seriously, apparently.

that’s a lot of points for and against Virginia.
Score is pretty close to meaningless in these scrimmages since they can add extra possessions and time basically anytime they want, for all we know that could have been a 60 minute game.

That said, if the 75-69 score is accurate I think that's a good sign that we can hang with a top 20 team that brought their full team back this early in the season

Without Jackson and Karaban.

Wouldn't fret about it with AJ and AK missing from the game.

Virginia is a good team anyway.
They didn’t make the tourney last year so I don’t know how good they actually are.

They’re getting some preseason love and it’s a meaningless scrimmage but giving up 75 points to them is a bad look. They only scored 75 in 2 games last year (81 vs Farleigh Dickerson and 75 vs Clemson). Could care less about our offense struggling but defense struggling is concerning.

Teams literally play until the coaches decide to stop, and in some cases will run back possessions to work on things until they score. Without that info it's impossible to say UVA scoring 75 is a bad look
