Good job getting out of that mess by Enzo. We'll score some runs today; just gotta keep their offense at 1 or 2 runs over the next few innings.

After the Morton solo homer, onto the bottom of the 3rd inning tied at 1. Morton's first home run as a Husky.

Bottom 3rd, Stefanoni with a 1-2-3 inning, solid defensive play by Brown at 3B. Stefanoni with 3 strikeouts, he is at 45 pitches. Game tied at 1.

Nice dig by Huber as well on that play. His defense has been really good so far.

Bottom 4th, Stefanoni with a 1-2-3 inning closing the inning with a strikeout. Game tied at 1.

Epstein (Pepperdine’s announcer) fascinated by how fast UConn pitchers operate this weekend (they even put a stopwatch on Stefanoni - he’s @ 5-7seconds when he receives the ball back from Donlan).

Edit: Pepperdine’s pitcher in the T5 is @ 20 seconds before delivering a pitch’s

Top 5th, Chris Brown with a leadoff double. Padilla follows with a single to put runners on the corners with no outs. 1 out wild pitch brings in a run to make it 2-1 UConn.

Epstein has done a nice job this weekend. He is a damn good one man band…Except he shorted us a bball title and feels the need to rub it in with the forecasts comparing Malibu to Storrs….

He's no Chris Jones, but is much better as a play by play guy than what I'm used to from other broadcasts.

Bottom 5th, Stefanoni gets a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts, 6 on the game. Enzo at 73 pitches. 2-1 UConn. Stefanoni still hasn't given up a walk this season.
I feel Epstein was trying to jinx Enzo to get a walk on one of those long AB's. Then Enzo struck the batter out swinging on the 7-8th pitch.

Bottom 6th, Stefanoni gets 2 fast outs, then gives up 2 singles. Cole Chudoba coming in to pitch.

Enzo coming out after giving up two singles. 2 outs though; we just need 1 more to get out of this inning.

Bottom 6th, a 2 out Chudoba walk loads the bases. An rbi single gives Pepperdine a 3-2 lead. A strikeout ends the inning.
