Good job getting out of that mess by Enzo. We'll score some runs today; just gotta keep their offense at 1 or 2 runs over the next few innings.
Makes me wonder why I still live in the Northeast. Not sure in Malibu there are many days where it isn’t a great day for anything that takes place outside
Makes me wonder why I still live in the Northeast.
Top 3rd, Morton with a lead off homer to tie the game at 1!!
Nice dig by Huber as well on that play. His defense has been really good so far.Bottom 3rd, Stefanoni with a 1-2-3 inning, solid defensive play by Brown at 3B. Stefanoni with 3 strikeouts, he is at 45 pitches. Game tied at 1.
Top 5th, Chris Brown with a leadoff double. Padilla follows with a single to put runners on the corners with no outs. 1 out wild pitch brings in a run to make it 2-1 UConn.
Epstein has done a nice job this weekend. He is a damn good one man band…Except he shorted us a bball title and feels the need to rub it in with the forecasts comparing Malibu to Storrs….
Considering the strike zones that change inning to inning, this is a borderline obscene stat.
I feel Epstein was trying to jinx Enzo to get a walk on one of those long AB's. Then Enzo struck the batter out swinging on the 7-8th pitch.Bottom 5th, Stefanoni gets a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts, 6 on the game. Enzo at 73 pitches. 2-1 UConn. Stefanoni still hasn't given up a walk this season.
