Removing the 4 PWO’s thats 23 schorlarship portals which represents 27% roster turnover. I wonder if this will be the new normal moving forward. If we can improve the play on the field I am for it in the short term, but this new world makes it difficult, for me at least, to be as engaged as I was in the past.

I know kids wants to play but, I remember the video of Mora surprising Flynn with a scholarship and I loved it, now he is gone a year later. How can I invest emotionally in this going forward?

Dumb question, but Is the deadline to enter also the deadline to withdraw from the portal? I.e. could there be players on that list (McFadden, who seems to want to exit football, but just example of someone we could use) still be on roster in the fall if they're never picked up?

A player just has to have his name submitted into the transfer portal by the deadline - they can withdraw from the portal @ any time but withdrawing from the transfer portal does not guarantee that the player will be able to return to their original school.

Welcome to the new normal... We've been going thru this roster churn thing for years now... and with this NIL stuff it's a little different... seems like we've gotten more talented.. gotta prove it on the field now...
18 to 27 portal kids seems about normal for an FBS program now. When there is coaching turnover, expect a higher number. Look at Alabama. Probably 35+ in the portal.

I guess he was passed over on the depth chart.

I heard Fagnano was the better QB this spring. Roberson never really separated himself... Fagnano could very well be much more than we saw in his limited action but for the hype and NIL Roberson had he didn't do anything that made one go wow this will be special. It was just the same old inconsistent offense. Also, there's Nick Evers...

Yeah. I missed that Nick Evans committed.
