I said this before, but I feel Jana pretty much neutralized Beers. She played hard and with a ton of intensity. The biggest difference in my mind is Beers has more experience. With a year under her belt, I will be taking Jana over Beers.

I'll bet you a couple of beers on that

Hopefully Sara and Azzi won't shoot 8/26 again but Sara seemed to settlle down and had her usual 2dbl
Jana and Sara really played Beers tough and for the team to out rebound OU was outstanding
After Geno benched Paige for not playing defense and letting the player get 2 3's it lit a fire under her..now she has to do a CC and DT for 3 more games and carry Uconn on her back to the title

True but she made a couple of her "what????" calls, like in the 4th quarter when she whistled Jana for putting both hands on Beers near the foul line. Why do you suddenly call a foul like that when you (and the other two refs) missed Beers knocking Paige to the floor in the first quarter???? Oh, that's right, it put the spotlight on her.
Just glad Joe Vaszily wasn't there helping Dee...

Any UConn fan complaining about fouls was not watching the 3rd quarter. UConn was very physical and could’ve gotten called for a bunch of fouls during the critical run.

I'd say the refs were fair both in the sense of missing calls more or less equally on both teams, and in the sense of being fairly unobservant.

How was Kaitlyn? Also seemed like Ashlyn stepped up, especially in the first half. Didn't get a chance to see the game but looks like it was a great win

She was solid. Had 2 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds, 4 steals which I feel is rare for her. Did all the little things which is why I think she played 27 minutes today (more than usual). Personally feel this was her best game of the post tournament so far.

Serious question...is a tight rim a real thing? I mean the same type of shots went in later, so what changed, did the rims loosen?
I have always wondered where that term, or theory, came from.

She kept them in the game when the rest of the team disappeared in the 2nd quarter. Had Paige not gone off for 40, I'd say Ash was the player of the game. But...
