Doomed!Wow! Vegas just posted the opening line for UCONN/ USC.
Believe it or not, the Huskies are favored by 13.5 points!
That is a lot of points even though Juju is out.
It was 15 1/2 today, so that is a strange spread.Doomed!
Interesting. I suppose UConn is one of the few teams (maybe the only one?) that didn’t underperform in this round. Perhaps that’s what ‘Vegas’ is thinking. UConn didn’t just hold a high scoring team below their season scoring average. 59 points was OU’s lowest total all season. And they did this despite having a rough start in the 1st half.Wow! UConn switched up its defenses on Beers. As the game wore on, there were few plays where she was surrounded by a trio of players, and many plays where she was guarded straight up by Jana. But don't let facts get in the way of the narrative you want to push.Sorry but u crazy.
Did you see the analysis where UConn had 3 players hovering around Beers? She was neutralized because UConn played good team defense and OU didn’t have enough good players to make UConn pay. Perhaps if Beers and Co had stayed at OSU, she would’ve had better support.
Jana is miles from Beers.
lol the narrative I want to push? What, that Beers is much much better than Jana? Yeah me and 99.99% of people who watch WCBB believe that “narrative.”UConn switched up its defenses on Beers. The narrative that says that Jana was ineffective on defense against Beers. I agree that Beers is a better passer than Jana at this point in Jana's career, and that she is a better low post scorer. However, in this thread you were challenging the claim that Jana did a good job of holding Beers in check. She did. This does not mean that she did so alone, or that there were no other defenses deployed against Beers. Two explanations (for the fact that Beers only scored 10 points) can be true at once.lol the narrative I want to push? What, that Beers is much much better than Jana? She was 94 of 105 after Oklahome. If she makes her next 5 she will be up to 99/110 and that is 90%But Paige missed a FT, puts her back under 90%. I think she needs to now make at least 5 or 6 without a miss.
I watched the entire USC/KS game, so I am not surprised about the spread. It was an even game, USC pulling away at the end, but it could have gone either way. Not a classic by far, USC would have won big with Juju, and while the matchup Monday everyone wanted won't be there, I am glad USC is in the elite eight. Iriafen did not have a great game, she was doubled and tripled as soon as she got the ball. That left a couple of freshman free as outside shooters to score and they did. We will not do that. We are way above KS in defending and scoring and if we play anything close to our standard, it will be a big win.Wow! Vegas just posted the opening line for UCONN/ USC.

Fasting from dawn to dusk should be over Saturday night (yesterday), so Jana should be full strength for Monday night.I liked Chen's game as well. She looked like a free safety at times going after the ball.
Jana had some nice rebounds but needs to control those balls and not commit turnovers.
Shade is just plain tough.
And Paige was simply outstanding. Great game.
KC played a solid floor game

Agreed the shaky start made her a bit tenativeFirst time I’ve seen Sarah seem tight and she still got a double
I for one am hoping for the #3 in the #1 vs. #3 matchup. That would allow Geno, CD and Co. take it to the teams with multiple NC's: coached by Kim & Dawn in the Final Four. The four Elite Eight games include:
Three games with #1 vs. #2
One game with #1 vs. #3
