Disagree. Our goal should be a 1 seed, which should be doable if we win out. We have the #1 SOS, a NET ranking of #2, are #1 in our conference, have only lost to top 10 AP teams.I think our goal should be the overall 2 or 3 seed, which should be doable if we win out
I'm not sure if you misread - he is suggesting the #2 (or #3) #1 seed. At this point, baring a collapse, South Carolina will most likely be the #1 #1 seed. Even with one loss, if that happens, I'm not sure who you would move past them, the problem for UConn being specifically that you lost to them.Disagree. I did misread. I apologize, @SLY63!I'm not sure if you misread - he is suggesting the #2 (or #3) #1 seed. At this point, baring a collapse, South Carolina will most likely be the #1 #1 seed. I would agree that - as of now - he is spot on. Depending on the rest of the season - for example if LSU upset South Carolina, not likely - there are probably some scenarios that would make UConn the third #1, but - once LSU takes expected losses and Indiana presumably does not go undefeated for the season - I would have UConn as the second #1 seed.
Every season, we hear some committee mouthpiece explain that a team received a low seeding or missed the tournament because of their weak out of conference schedule. But LSU's 310th non conference SOS is totally ignored as they move up the polls. Even after playing their SEC schedule, their combined SOS is still an anemic #112.We need SC to blow out LSU. Finally, they will have to step up and show the nation if they are contenders or pretenders. Without Reese, they are an average team IMHO.
Definitely looking forward to that LSU/South Carolina game, I think Sunday, as well as the Iowa/Indiana game Thursday. Should be some intense basketball games over the next 6-7 days.We need SC to blow out LSU. Finally, they will have to step up and show the nation if they are contenders or pretenders. Without Reese, they are an average team IMHO.
LSU would be in serious trouble without Reese and I am sure Kim knows that. I think that is one reason she has not done much to change her behavior on the court. She knows that if she sits her it is a likely loss.We need SC to blow out LSU. Finally, they will have to step up and show the nation if they are contenders or pretenders. Without Reese, they are an average team IMHO.
